A "wet reckless" plea bargain is a reduction to a Driving Under the Influence charge. Under Vehicle Code section 23103 per 23103.5(a) you may be found to be driving recklessly while under the influence of alcohol. This language eliminates the .08% blood alcohol concentration or higher element found in a DUI charge. On a first offense DUI, a wet reckless may prevent the California Department of Motor Vehicle from taking additional action against your license.
